Geraldo Specials
Here they are. The most ridiculed broadcasts of the decade, and I was intensely interested in everything they linked to. The Geraldo Specials were so exciting. Who is more interesting, mesmerizing, wise, and entertaining then Charles Manson? Satan himself?
Well, both of these super celebrities were “interviewed” by amoral Republican shit-head Geraldo.
And his daytime show was just as exciting. Teenage Satanism, Satanic Breeders, and White Supremacists—the latter being the greatest daytime talk show in history. Geraldo provoked a fight, joined in, and got a chair leg to his nose. It was a tiny bit of justice for all the loaded, fake interviewing and moral posturing and “shouldn’t people hate you more” pandering. The most uncritical, unenlightening, unquestioning vomit in television history, whose two currents of sensational pap and punishment lust gave birth to Jerry Springer and Nancy Grace.

Even though it was such garbage that NBC was offering ad time for 50% off, it got extremely high Nielsen ratings due to the Satanic Panic.
