But the pathology of sadism is the one that has the best reentry employment statistics. You can be a prison guard, join the military, become a cop, or become a private Blackwater-type Republican-hired thug-scum: an asshole who really gets off cutting, stabbing, shocking, shooting, chocking, etc. Super predators are real. But they get employed. Because separate power can always use additional violence. Since its situation—work-free parasitic existence by birthright—is illegitimate by its own self-espoused rules, it must use violence. Though marketing and self-delusion is preferred. It keeps the violence invisible, and people are choosing to vote for law-makers and order-makers that make them miserable. When attention threatens to reawaken, a spectacle intervenes:

The campaign marketer reveals that “MAPA was too offensive,” so they changed it to “MAGA.” The “aliens” are any easily identifiable non-us that ought to be inferior, have inferior happiness and wealth, and ought to suffer more than us because of an innate inferiority. A real inferiority that we can tie to something sub-species like. There is unity in the “them.” There has to be a them-ness that is shared but also empirical. So tie it to darker skin = former slaves. What better candidate is there for current slaves (or inferior class to boost relative happiness) than former slaves?
