The original ad in TV Guide.

Now a classic.

Another TV Guide ad.
Every Internet punk in the world wants to praise “Amelia”—the third and most famous story in this three-part Karen Black Fest. Karen stars in all three stories, and yes—she’s totally sexy in each episode. If ever there was a totally delicious-faced MILF, it is Karen Black. Her almost-crossed eyes are incredibly sexy, second only to those of the whipping girl in DEVO’s excellent—doubtless the best of early MTV—video for “Whip it”:
Imagine being in 5th grade at a time before computers and cellphones when REALITY was delivered either (1) “in” the 3-space of outer sense, or (2) or “through” the television screen. Now reduce it further and imagine that there are only three channels of shit on the tv to choose from. And now imagine that everybody watched the same thing last night, and it happened to be the scariest thing in history.
UPDATE: In November 2019, the Zuni doll became the most valuable prop in horror history. When it went up for auction at Profiles in History, it was expected to get around $15,000. Instead, it sold for a total of $217,600.

We knew he was the best from day one.
