clear

Clear: Recognition; re-identifying an object as the same.

Knowledge of a being is clear when I can recognize it “as the same being I saw previously, to grasp it as the same, to ‘identify’ it.” Clarity is thus Strawson’s “recognitional component”—the general concept. Can I use Leibniz’s tree to create a hierarchy of abstracta, and correlate these levels to levels of logical structuring? Clear = unstructured = GC.
