Now, calculating averages we get our long-awaited GULC—our Generic Universal Loop Cereal.
| Extract | Lisp calculator | Average |
|---|---|---|
| Bavarian Cream (TPA) | (/ (+ 2 3 2 3 2 1.75 2 2.2) 7.0) | 2.56 |
| Berry (Crunch) Cereal (TPA) | (/ (+ 3 3.5 2.5 3 2.7 3 5 2.5) 7.0) | 3.6 |
| Cream Fresh | (/ (+ 3 3 2) 3.0) | 2.67 |
| Fruit Circles (TPA) | (/ (+ 7 5 7 7 7.9 3) 6.0) | 6.15 |
| Marshmallow (TPA) | (/ (+ 2 3 2 2 2 1.75 2) 6.0) | 2.46 |
| Sweet Cream (TPA) | (/ (+ 1.5 3 1.5 2 1 1.5 2 1) 7.0) | 1.93 |
Those are the raw averages. Next step is to round the numbers down to whole percentages.
- The most basic of all is the GULC. It contains no Cream Fresh.
- The cream-fortified version is the GULCF, which contains Cream Fresh at the average value.
We then reduce the percentages to derive a working minimal base for experiments.
- The starter for our experiment will be the GULCS, or Generic Universal Loop Cereal Starter. This is the GULC with the averages brought to their minimums.
Our experiments will be evaluated by comparing them to the original GULC. Here’s a table of our three baseline recipes:
| Extract | Averages | GULC | GULCF | GULCS | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bavarian Cream (TPA) | 2.56 | 2.5 | 2.5 | 1.5 | |
| Berry (Crunch) Cereal (TPA) | 3.6 | 3.5 | 3.5 | 2.5 | |
| Cream Fresh | 2.67 | - | 2.5 | - | |
| Fruit Circles (TPA) | 6.15 | 6 | 6 | 4 | |
| Marshmallow (TPA) | 2.46 | 2.5 | 2.5 | 2 | |
| Sweet Cream (TPA) | 1.93 | 2 | 2 | 1.5 |
We now take the GULCS and begin our permutations, increasing levels of individual components in order to discern their effects:
| Extract | GULCS | GULCS 01 | GULCS 02 | GULCS 03 | GULCS 04 | GULCS 05 | GULCS 06 | |
