Why is my consciousness local?

After taking LSD or MDMA or psilocybin, or after having a mystical or oceanic experience, the silly and hackneyed Who am I? question is replaced with another, more prescient one:

Why is my consciousness local?

Why is this (my) consciousness local?

Why is this (my) consciousness stuck in here and surrounded by all space?

Why is that (your) consciousness nothing to me, and why are you only a space-filling body that moves in certain ways?

Why is this (my) consciousness a windowless monad? That is, why do space and spatial adjectives not apply to consciousness?

Why is Hadit self-contained and alone?
