All bedbugs. Dead. In one moment—all simultaneously die. If we gathered their corpses together into one giant sphere or cube, how large would that blob be? And how heavy? I solid ball of freshly killed bedbug corpses. If we pressed their crunchy bodies together so that all large (1 mm diameter) gaps were breached by their bodies, how much would a tennis ball sized ball weight? Surely less than an orange of the same size.
That is my death wish for this week. All bedbugs suddenly die in one instant.
Q: Would there be a massive disruption in the ecosystem?
A: No—they are human parasites mostly.
Q: Are bedbugs a serious source of death, so that overpopulation might result?
There’s no reason for them all not to die.
