Survival and survival-irrelevant interests

Physics has made survival-interested cell giants. Our survival interest is something basic. We are cellular automata, and our current configuration is a logical consequence of the tautological fact that any pattern will exist only if it exists. We don’t know if existence is good or bad, but we do know that existence is a necessary condition of existence.

But the weirdest thing is that the pattern has interests in things other than its survival. It takes up hobbies. It falls in love. Then it wants to exists for the sake of some other. It gains pleasure from the survival of things other than itself.
